Chief Executive Officer
Jason founded SGA in 2017 after successful careers in the US military, as a senior consultant with McKinsey & Company, and as a public company executive officer for multiple leading global corporations.
Serving as a US Navy pilot early in his career, he experienced firsthand the critical role of teamwork and true organizational alignment in accomplishing key objectives. Assigned to the US Pacific Fleet, he led aircrews in missions throughout the Pacific and Persian Gulf.
Following his Navy career he built deep foundations in leading strategic planning processes, corporate growth acceleration, and M&A advisory work as an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company from 1999-2005. His practice areas included sales transformation, strategic pricing, long-term strategic plan creation, and organizational design and culture development. He worked with clients from strategy development through operational execution, including M&A transactions in services and manufacturing.
From 2005-2017 Jason served as a senior executive on the leadership teams of three best-in-class multinational companies: Aramark, Tyco International and CHEP (Brambles Ltd). His roles included multiple positions as a global P&L leader as well as functional roles as Chief Strategy Officer and global SVP of Sales. A common theme of his roles in all three companies was a focus on helping early stage, or underperforming, businesses build strong operational and financial foundations, with a particular emphasis on team building, sales acceleration, and operational excellence programs.
He has consistently helped businesses deliver double-digit growth rates, with strong EBITDA and cash leverage. His experience has included helping lead a number of major corporate transformations, including the privatization of Aramark, the shifting of the Seamless.com business model to a B2C focus, the three-way breakup of Tyco and public IPOs of the stand-alone segments (into Tyco International, ADT and Tyco Flow Control), and launch of Brambles Internet of Things business, BXB Digital, in 2016.
With extensive relationships in the private equity and investment banking communities, Jason often advises buyers and sellers on finding the right partnerships where cultural fit and long-term alignment of vision are critical factors in both parties' decision making process.
Based in SGA's suburban Philadelphia office, Jason advises senior leaders and investors in the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions.
